On 26th February 2026, representatives of A Place of Hope attended a panel discussion on climate mitigation, resilience, and adaptation held at the Miatta Conference Centre in Freetown. The event was organized by the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development, through its NGO Affairs Directorate, in collaboration with the Sierra Leone Association of Non-Governmental Organizations (SLANGO).

The discussion formed part of the activities marking NGO Week, leading up to 27th February – International NGO Day. It brought together civil society organizations, government representatives, and development partners to share ideas and explore collaborative approaches to addressing climate challenges and strengthening community resilience in Sierra Leone.
